EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK MARCH-APRIL - 2007
I felt I had to write to thank you for the trek to Everest Base Camp that you led us on recently.
The trek was truly a lifetime experience and was one of the most memorable weeks of my life. The views were tremendous, the walking so rewarding, and the friendships made with yourself and fellow sherpas and porters will remain with me forever.
We all had complete faith in your leadership at all times adn we knew that at times our lives were in your hands. However at all times we can honestly say we felt in safe hands with yourself and your team who should be commended for the way they helped us.
The highlights of the trek for me were ascending Gokyo Ri - the views were amazing, camping underneath the Chola Pass and climbing this so early the following morning, and finally the trek to Everest Base Camp. These are all moments that will live with me forever. Just unbelievable.
The food on the trek was excellent and our wives cannot believe the variety and quality of food served by your chef Monet. He is an assest to keep onto.
I have several friends who are most keen to hear more about our exploits in Nepal and I trust it will be in order to pass your name onto them should they themselves be looking to trek in your wonderful country.
Your mastery of the English language is an assest that deserves mentioning, as you were able to advise us on various issues and answer questions on all sorts of points we raised during the trek.
I would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone else who is looking to trek in Nepal. It was obvious to us all that you had a most in depth knowledge of the area, had the full respect of ourselves and the members of your team, and most importantly had such an enjoyment and love of showing us the fantastic mountains and scenery of Nepal. Should anyone wish to speak with me on this point please ask them to contact me.
Once again many many thanks for a fantastic trek.
We all hope to see you soon
Kind regards
Iwan Jones
